To begin with, I'd like to say that you cannot plan your future. By this I mean that the things will never be the same way as you have planned.
You may have your goals or plans for your future life and you expect that everything will go exactly as yoy have wanted it to but these are only expectations of yours... There is always some deviation of planned expectations and the possibility of the success is much less than 100%. Moreover, you are not safe from the accidential situations to happen in your way to reach the goals.
So, how should I call it, my plans or my hopes for the next five years.. whatever, they are quite simple, I guess.
I hope that by the year 2014 I will have already taken my economy degree, and I given birth to my second baby and maybe started working in a bank. This is actually all my big plans or wishes for the nearest future.
However there is one thing I am trying to decide on whether I will continue to work as a teacher or not. Maybe after 5 years I will not practice any more because of the changed education and values. But there is a way out: that is to combine teaching and economics as something extra. I want to say that I love to teach and I wish I had a chance to continue with it but nowadays it is important (at least for me and my family) to make money and be better off from all sides of our life. There is a much more chance to get a job with the economic education (specially not foreigh as my degree in teaching). So may be I can work in the economy branch but then complete my studies to be a teacher in economics. That sounds good to me!
Later on, afting having worked a pretty long time as a chief in the bank or somewhere else I want to buy a house, a new car, start a small business abroad ( it's a secret:)) and travel all around the world with my husband( if we have some spare time left:))
These are long-term plans which demand careful and hard work and patience.
My plans and wishes is just one side of a coin. The other side is what my plans depend on: our economy. The way it functions now is not so promising: high interest rates make it difficult to make houseloans etc; increased unemployment makes it almost impossible to find and keep a job even if you have a higher education (ex.: "USA's rate of unemployment is highest for the latest 25 years.")
These are just examples of what is going on now. But I am half sure that the situation is not going to change much. Of course, the economy will be stabilized but it will occur on a different level of demand/ supply market where the prices will like "skyscrapes" and everything dependant on them will change....
Maybe I think in an exaggerated way and I hope so... I just rely on the latest economic news and statistics, plus economists' prognosis whose promises are not so overwhelming.
I dont' dare to make any suggetions about the future world of economy as I am not so keen on doing long term prognosis myself, yet.:)
I hope I am going to develop my skills and knowledge about different aspects of economy in future and I will certainly do my best!
Everything is possible only you are aware of it!
Hope you had a good time reading my blogg:)
Best regards
